Higher Skills
The universities of South West England have much to offer to businesses and non-profit making organisations in the region. This project aims to meet the demands of employers by providing them with higher level skills training to improve their business offering.
The project will give employers the opportunity to provide flexible training for their employees, who can work towards university-level awards as part of their professional development. In order to deliver the objectives of this project, the Higher Level Skills Pathfinder in the South West has four themes:
- Stimulating Demand
- Shell Awards Framework
- 'Employer Engagement' Research Project
- Funding Methodology
The main aspect of Higher Skills is the recruitment of 11 Intermediaries across the region who are responsible for working directly with employers to develop accredited university-level training through a university in South West England. If you would like to see how your business could benefit from working with a Higher Skills Intermediary please contact us.
